Refinished White Desk

February 1, 2016

Finally getting some use out of this old desk again!

This desk was a coordinating piece to the 10-drawer dresser that we had previously refinished, so we thought we would go ahead and make it a complete, matching set. The dresser had been significantly damaged on one of the top drawers, so we modified the look by taking off the entire top section. This gave it more of an updated look and allowed us to add some accessories to the top of the desk to really change the appearance.

As seen in the photos below, we started off the project by taking of the top portion of the dresser. It was attached by a few screws, which made it easier to transition the look. Once the screws were removed, we sanded the desk down and filled the screw holes with wood filler. We then painted it with a chalk paint finish and lightly distressed it to match the other dresser.

Check out our completed refinished desk!!
